New for 2025....The 10k+

​

We want to include as many distances as possible for our loyal DHM family. We will host a 'trial run' of the 10k+ to see how it goes. Please read the description slowly and carefully to make sure you fully understand what to expect. 

​

The 10k+ course will be the first half of the half marathon course with a total of 6.6 miles. Runners will take a bus to the start line and run along the beautiful Mississippi River, after turning back on Great River Road near the historic Wexford Church, participants will run up hill to the finish line.  There, you will be greeted by other 10k+ finishers and bused back to Lansing to take part in the happenings at the Lansing Fire/EMS Department. All 10k+ finishers will receive a finisher's medal. There will also be hand-made awards for our first male and female participants. 

 

The course limit is 90 minutes. The bus will not make multiple trips back to Lansing. Unless more are needed, there will only be one bus. While you won't get the full effect of an official finish line party, you will be greeted by other participants and a super nice and cheerful bus driver! For safety reasons and a lack of decent parking, we do not recommend support crews be at the 10k+ finish line. It is an active roadway. If you need course support outside of medical attention, this is not an event for you. If you don't like to cheer other runners on while you wait for the bus to leave, this event is not for you. Please note that September 20th is the cut-off date to guarantee a race shirt.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION: will be inside the Lansing Fire/EMS Department. Please note, registering after the September 20th cut-off date does not guarantee runners a shirt of their size preference, if at all.
